Nice but really far out

It's quite far out making it hard to find especially in the dark. When I asked around the locals they weren't awere of it either which made its location harder. The neighbourhood isn't that bad ut it's a good 10 minutes to a bus (21) for central station which will take 20 minutes. Its very basic and you can't eat or even have water in your room to drink which in a heatwave wasn't cool. You can smoke your weed and cigarettes outside. And they have no issues with booze either as long as it's downstairs. The wifi was medium strength and the staff where friendly enough they spoke a variety of languages. There local knowledge however not so great. A towal will set back an extra five euro. And there definitely isn't anough sockets for everyone to charge there devices especially if you consider most people have two a piece. They will give you a map if you ask but you do seem to need to ask for things and there helpfulness is dependent on who's on shift. I didn't see the same person twice in four days. Except for the guy that lived next door that hung around outside the back he knows amsterdam better. And the local area and is happy to point you in the right direction. Just don't forget to offer him a smoke. The tolitries that they supply are nastie bring your own. Make sure you have plenty of change for the vending machines. Breakfast starts at eight it looked ranked and the coffee was dishwater so I skipped it. In the evening there's a meal of the day but yuk

Not impressed with condition of room. Poor bedding but ok for price. Breakfast very basic and staff rude especially tall black man.

Great if you're young, probably

I think this place would be great if you're younger and not really after comfort. It's very spacious and sparse but not warm and inviting. We were there on a horrible rainy day and the place and its surroundings seemed a bit desolate. It's quite a way out from the centre of Amsterdam but the buses are good. We stayed in the deluxe room- which was odd. Very clean and spacious yet cold and lacking a personal touch: no pictures, no shower curtain. The window was cracked too. The view out on to the courtyard on a cold and damp February was quite depressing. The breakfast was very very basic. I think I'd have rather paid more and had a nice breakfast. I can be.ieve that this is great for young people who want to "hang out" and be in an arty, youthy environment... but it wasn't really for us.

hotel und zimmer sind gut. frühstück mässig. aber für den preis völlig okay. leider ist das hotel nicht so zentral. (20 - 25 min. zum bahnhof) für jugendliche die nur einen coffeeshop-urlaub machen ist das hotel sehr gut.

Hinta- laatusuhde kohdallaan. Huoneet tilavia. Sängyn alla arkku tavaroille, lukitusmahdollisuus mutta en kysynyt pitääkö olla oma lukko. Ainakin minulla vessa ja suihku huoneessa, mistä plussaa. Sijainti syrjässä keskustasta, mutta helpon bussimatkan päässä. Bussi 21 toi keskustasta noin 10 - 15 minuutissa. Pysäkiltä 10 min kävelymatka. Reitti olisi ollut helppo, jos olisin karttaa älynnnyt katsoa, mutta puhelimitse sain hyvät ohjeet. Oma moka, kun en etukäteen tutkinut kulkuyhteyksiä. Lauantai-iltana lähistöllä oli bileet, mutta jumputus loppui hyvissä ajoin ennen puolta yötä. Aamupala yksipuolinen, mutta runsas ja hyvä. Ulkona oleskelualue on kesällä varmaankin ihan viihtyisä, sisällä karut oleskelutilat. Mutta kaiken kaikkiaan, hinta-laatusuhde kohdillaan. Jos tulisin uudelleen kaupunkiin, varaisin varmastikin samasta paikasta.

Cheap Hotel, but very small Rooms

Pros: It was cheap.
Cons: Aircondition in the rooms
Location: Location is o.k., about 10min. to Bus/Train, then 20-30min in Amsterdam Center. No Parking ! We parked in a P+R about 10min away.
Where there with Family (2 + 4´) in a 6-BEd-Familiy-Room. Romm was o.k., but small. Shower was very big, but nothing to leave Clothes. The sink was not at shower, but in the room. It was too hot !!! First day maybe 35-40° Celsius, second day little bit more. For fresh air we have to open the Room-Door, so evereyone could see in. Breakfast was normal.

Badezimmer schmutzig! Zimmer sehr kalt und schäbig eingerichtet!

Auch wenn es ein Hotel günstigerer Klasse ist, erwarten wir ein sauberes Badezimmer. Es war schmutzig, noch bevor wir es benützt haben. Mit schmutzig meinen wir wirklich ekelhaft. Es wurde leider auch nicht besser, als wir es an der Reception gemeldet haben. Wir wurden gar nicht ernst genommen. Das Zimmer ist sehr einfach eingerichtet, für jedes Bett hat es eine rollende Kiste für das Aufbewahren der Kleider, keine Schränke. Sehr kalt und einfach eingerichtet, zum Schlafen aber völlig okay. Die Bettanzüge schienen sauber zu sein.
