Convenient to where I want to be. Restaurants and shops very close by. Good shower, tv, bed. Did not like the recent introduction of parking costs £5 per night. The rooms are too dark, not enough lighting, the wardrobe was pitch black and could not see the shelves etc. I had the view of the curved roof which also stopped light getting in. Only one flat pillow each, had to request another. Staff were very helpful though.

Reception assistance is poor. Having a consistent human presence as opposed to screens when you have a query would be better and save for less hanging around being confused. When I arrived, I was hanging about for a bit before someone who looked like they worked at the hotel appears and although I was a bit early, I asked if I could check in. I was told no rooms available for me to check into, but the two bookings behind me could check straight in even though same type of booking. Confusing.

On the basis that I have used this chain a lot and had to cancel my room due to a medical problem the day before and not to get a credit note I thought was very poor....

Requested to have 1200 check out but was asked to pay which has never happened before. Stayed at other village hotels and get complimentary upgrade without even asking i guess somebody was following the book. Airconditioning was noisey and engineer came down twice and replaced something but no joy and engineer told me to contact reception and get a different room. Rang reception three times long ring no answer. Spoke to house keeping who went to recetion and a female came down to give me different room key. U can imagine how u feel after all this. It only getts better went to bed at 02.00am after being out and about, at around 7.30am woke up with loud noise of door being shut loudly and realised room was not sound proof and i could not sleep afterwards.
