                  We had an issue when we arrived which was quickly and well dealt with. The quality of food and choice at breakfast was superb, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was spotlessly clean and spacious. We would highly recommend this hotel.

                  Next to long bien Bridge, and food market wholesale where you see mountain of fruit and veg and spice. 15min walk from the old quarter. This was really value for money. This was my second stay here. And was really please. My second room was a little smelling and damp but once ac was on you couldn't felt it. Will stay there again.

                  Lake Side Hotel

                  2.0 Avoid this hotel. Has bed bugs, took no action.
                  So indeed not a good experience of hotels in Vietnam. After a couple of nights realised the bites in arms, legs, neck were caused by bed bugs. Reported the matter at the reception. Saw staff take any cursory measures (superficial cleaning) so continued to suffer from bed bugs. The cleanliness of the room looked ok on a cursory glance - however e.g. the bathroom floor tiles showed no evidence of proper scrubbing for a long time (were black in between the tiles when in fact the original colour had been white). English skills of even reception staff were rudimentary. Not worth the money.

                  4.0 Very nice staff but don't sleep on top floor
                  Top floor is next to the bar and breakfast, noise is so lloud that we couldn't sleep after 6am. The door is anything but sound-proof. Room is very clean and hotel convenient too. Breakfast good.

                  I've been living in Hanoi when I was a child and the hotel offered all what I wanted for my memory. A perfect summer day with a typical old Hanoian asmosphere Crowded street, trees, electric wires, bill collector bell, children playing in the park, elders doing their exercices the morning... My suit was on the top floor and it was mid summer so it took some hours for the aircon to cool it down (i put it on, go out for some hours then come back). The view on the street is nice if you like it. It's discret hidden by the tree so people down on the street will not see you. The location is good as well by its vicinity to the old quarter. The room it's ok in general. You can chose your pillow I think (as the reception). The literie could be better (more cotton/linen). The only point I do not feel satisfied is the shower rideau, it smelled :D Staffs are friendly and helpful. I have a huge discount on the room, otherwise the full price is around 75/night and for this price you can find much better room elsewhere but again I am totally satisfied because I knew what I was looking when I book here :) Would def recommend for people looking the same things like me.
