      Home from home

This was a wonderful, cozy little cottage and a perfect base for our adventure in the Peak District. It has everything you need, and is close to amenities, pubs, etc. The only challenge was the Car Park. Be warned, there is a stone you don't expect that grabs your bumper on the passenger side! In all, seriousness though, as long as you have a banksman it's absolutely fine. It was well equipped, and wonderfully decorated. And really felt like a home from home. We will be returning, hopefully very soon.

        A week at Tom's Cottage

Easy to find traditional stone cottage with everything you need available. Close to local co-op and restaurants and other key places of interest in the Peak District. Kitchen would benefit form extractor fan as smoke detectors easily set off. Note: Situated directly on busy road frequented by trucks and steep staircase to bedrooms. Off street parking suitable for small cars only.

        5/5 Excellent

          Perfect located and comfortable cottage.

This was a vey attractive property in the heart of the village. It was extremely comfortable and provided for all our needs. The interior was of a high standard throughout and it was well equipped. The location was perfect for exploring the National Park and Chatsworth.

          5/5 Excellent

Lovely cottage, beautiful area with lots to do.

We had a lovely stay at Tom's Cottage. The owners have put a lot of thought in to providing a compact but beautiful home for holidaying in, with everything that you would need. The cottage was beautifully presented and the bathrooms were particularly luxurious after a long day walking. There is so much to do in the area and Baslow is particularly well located for Chatsworth, Bakewell and the Blue John Cavern; with plenty of walks in the local area. The cottage is situated on the main road with heavy traffic both day and night, we weren't particularly disturbed by this, however, if you are a light sleeper this may be something you'd want to consider. We would really recommend this cottage.

              warm and cosy

Lovely cottage - clean, warm , beautifully decorated, kind and friendly neighbours. Only slight downside is narrow, awkward parking for even one car.
