2 years ago we stopped at the bridge which is where the cottage gets its name to look at a wonderful variety of birds that were coming to some feeders hanging in the trees there. This year, I was delighted to find this cottage next to that very spot. Alas, the birds were not attending the feeders but the cottage is precious. Exactly what you want! The cottage feel runs nicely through the entire house as red foxes and gray rabbits peek down at you from paintings on pastel walls. The shabby chic feel adds to the quaintness of the cottage as does the short doorways and and smaller rooms. A double slipper tub (with plenty of hot water) invites you to soak in its warmth. The bed was comfortable and linens fresh and crisp. The kitchen looked well equipped for prepping and cooking meals. There is a lovely back yard that overlooks the bridge and has flower gardens and swings for children young and old. A very special place that I would return to if I am ever fortunate enough to be driving the winding roads of Glenlivet Scotland. We did struggle to get the heat to work...perhaps detailed instructions would have made it easier. Thanks.
