Clean room. That's all.

Room cleaned but air condition doesn't work properly and wifi a bit slow.

Lovely 5 day break

The main draw for this hotel was the fact it is near the beach. In saying that, it's a little far from the city itself.

Great choice of hotel

This is a great hotel which places you within a few minutes walking distance from Barcelona beach in the Icaria area. Public transport facilities are also very accessible and the city centre of Barcelona is just 15 minutes away on the bus. The hotel itself is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and the facilities (swimming pool, lounge area, internet corner) are really nice

Family Trip

Excellent hotel. Great location for the beach as well as for metro. Kids loved the pool. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Great beach + city holiday

This is a great choice of hotel if you are wanting to stay close to the beaches of Barcelona. Just a 3-4 minute walk away to the beach and close to local amenities including shops, bakeries and restaurants. The staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgable and the facilities at the hotel are great.

Fancy digs for frugal travellers

We got what we expected for a chain hotel, and more. Our room had a bar fridge that was sparsely stocked, but to us this was a bonus. We used the extra space wisely after taking a grocery run to the nearby Poblenou neighbourhood. Helped us save lots of money on food, as Barcelona is a bit pricey when eating out. The cleaning staff did a proper job on the room whenever we requested it. The breakfast buffet was decent enough for the 13€ price tag. Staff was helpful and friendly. The location, although not central, was within walking distance to some attractions, and close to one of Barcelona's many subway lines.

Perfect hotel. Staff where excellent room was spotless

Everything went well. Would go back again. Staff where excellent. Had breakfast there every morning and also enjoyed a lovely dinner there too. Hotel is very close to the beach. A small bit out of the city centre but is manageable by foot if you are prepared to walk. If not the Bus stop is right outside.

not a 4 STAR BUT A 3 STAR

We had the coldest welcome from Alex. He was not pleasant and was quite unprofessional. The hotel is NOT A 4 STAR. many 3 stars are far better than that. The breakfast was OK. NOT THAT IMPRESSIVE NEITHER. Lot of cheap pastries. The hot food was indeed delicious but not worth the price. The management of the Hotel needs to seriously get a grip of their staff especially Alex who was unpleasant. The staff in the dining area were more welcoming and much better. Although we should not judge the whole experience based on one person rudeness, Alex, but overall it was OK hotel. Would not go there though. will look for something better and closer to Barceloneta.

Superb city break

The Hotel Icaria proved an excellent base to enjoy a five day break in Barcelona for my family. The hotel is not bang in the centre but transport links are easily available nearby and Las Ramblas is a comfortable 30 minute stroll away. The Port Olimpic area is very close and has an array of good restaurantsa and friendly bars. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant to me and my family and I would definitely recommend this hotel. Breakfast was very good as was bar meals and restaurant fare.

Nice hotel right near the beach

Although this hotel is a fair distance from the centre of Barcelona - it is only a short walk to the beach. The room and bathroom were quite large and we had a view that looked over the pool and city. We could see the church on top of the mountain - great at night. However, it is a bit of walk from the nearest metro and there is not much around. Would be good if you had a bike or like walking a bit. Rooms were clean and the pool was a great place to relax. The gym equipment didnt really work though and our shower stopped working part way during out stay. However, when we told the staff they fixed it within 30 minutes so we were happy with the service there.
