Graham the manager is very friendly and probably a very nice person. That can’t be said for the accommodation at the George. The previous night we were fortunate to stay at an amazing restored, grade 2 listed building, for £90.00 with a full English breakfast. It was an absolute shock to arrive at the George, a so called continental breakfast, consisting, choice of 6 packets of cereal, 2 tubs of yoghurt and litre of milk in the fridge. There were three central heating units in the room, only one worked and we had to prop the bathroom door open at night to allow the heating from the one working heater to penetrate the bathroom. At some stage in the night, the power went out so there was no heating or power to operate the shower water heater or heat the kettle. Needless to say, it was disappointing. If Graham is to provide accommodation, could I suggest he make some improvements to his rooms. I certainly would not recommend The George Inn.
