It was a basic hotel which was all we needed the decor was dull but the room was clean and tidy and the spiral staircase is great

        Just needs a little TLC

Service was polite and the gentleman could not do enough for you. The room was clean and had all the facilities you need. Sadly the bed was very uncomfortable and furniture was tired needing a little tlc. Little things like ensuring all the light bulbs were working would make all the difference.

        Needs complete overhaul

Very very shabby hotel. The outside and public areas are very poorly maintained and parts look derelict. Room very dated and poorly furnished. Holes in carpet, "leather" chair cracked and peeling. However, the room looked clean, although I didn't really want to inspect too closely. Bathroom ok except toilet brush holder looked soiled, poor lighting due to bulbs needing replacing. Nice big room overlooking High street and bed comfortable. Staff very pleasant and helpful. This is an historic coaching Inn, and could be really nice, but I wouldn't stay here again. Luckily it was just a bed for the night and didn't have to spend too much time here
