Hotel is lovely, staff are very nice but the rooms arent kept to a great standard of care or cleanliness. This was my third stay as I work locally and this hotel is very convenient, but all the rooms could do with a deep clean.

Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Room to high standard. quiet considering location is next to train st. Only downside is you can’t add breakfast to only one of the days I was staying (to save money on paying at breakfast), as I had to leave 5am after second night. No fitness facilities. Oh and there are signs on the hot taps to warn you how hot the water gets - why not solve the problem and reduce the temp of how hot the water can get?

Check in took too long staff not that experienced with dealing with guests had to change room three times not good for a hotel like this its more like a 3 star rather than a 4 star! Shower was awful dcratched surfacing taps scaled and looked awful. I did complain but staff didn't seem to care or think it was a issue Reading itself is ok but wouldn't return. On my last room bed was soft one side hard the other so difficult to sleep Windows were filthy like vomit on curtains very bad stay 1/10
