Etwas weit ausserhalb, die Anreise über schmale kurvenreiche Strassen ist abenteuerlich… wer zu spät kommt geht unter Umständen hungrig ins Bett, falls das einzige Restaurant im Ort geschlossen ist. Das Château de Bessas ist die Strapazen aber unbedingt wert. Eine freundliche Gastgeberin, gutes Frühstück, respektvoll in die alten Gemäuer eingebaute Zimmer, ein hübscher kleiner Pool im Innenhof und von den oberen Zimmern und von der Sonnenterasse ein atemberaubender Blick auf das grüne Umland. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt für einen Ausflug in die Grotten von Orgnac d’Avens.
