Great service, the guy at the reception was very welcoming and checked us in smoothly. We expected to pay for parking but was told after 5pm Friday to Sunday it’s free, bonus!! Nice location for some peace and quiet or couple time.

The hotel was lovely and accommodating, their Laura Ashley tearoom looked exceptional but didn't have time to sit down or enjoy try out their SPA area. I would not recommend the twin rooms instead I would change to standard double or upgrade. I would stay again, hotel lovely.

Have had nicer cleaner hotel for half the price in hotel on robinhood roundabout. Food too expensive .

Needs a refurbish

Bed was hard and lumpy and Hotel had very tired decor.

close to my family

Pros: very dated
Location: visit family
shower not working , room only cleaned once in 3 days . heating once turned off could not get back on . no bar on in the hotel so had to go out to a pub to play pool very disappointed as could not drink and drive while staying there

Thank you very much for your feedback. I'm very sorry to hear that you had problems with the shower and your heating. I have passed your comments to the maintenance team, to make sure it's all fixed. Regarding the room service, housekeeping refresh the rooms every day, unless guests have 'Do Not Disturb' card left on the door, in that case they are not allowed to walk in to the room, I have already spoken to the housekeeping manager to make sure that the rooms are serviced on regular bases. We have a bar at the hotel that opens from 5 pm onward. During the day we have Laura Ashley Tea Room open, where we serve drinks and light bites. I'm very sorry to hear that our hotel didn't meet your expectations.Hopefully you will give us another chance and stay in our hotel again.

Extremely dated and in need of modernisation.

Pros: I did not like this hotel and would not return or recommend it to anyone.
Cons: Service and updating of whole hotel and definitely the bar in need a total refurb especially concerning the price of drinks. Very expensive.
Location: There are a couple of pubs and an eatery near by, no of which we found to be particulary good.
Not given appropriate information on checking in. No instructions for breakfast etc or location of restaurant. The bar area was very poor, smelly and not an enjoyable place to be in.
