It was perfect for the weekend we spent which was the Peaky Blinders Festival. We will be using again when we hope to return to Birmingham for a night out around Digbeth.

The hotel was absolutely fine and the breakfast was very good. However, I booked the hotel for secure parking as it showed, and still shows on your website and on arrival was told that it was street parking.! I should have been informed of this change. The young lady on Reception was unconcerned, sullen and monosyllabic! The road outside the hotel, that I just about found a space to park in, was covered with litter and broken glass!! I think that you should attempt to do something about these things. I would not use you again on that basis.

It is a budget hotel, so don't expect the Queen's palace. The building is a listed one, so there is no double glazing, which can be a problem if you're a light sleeper and have been given a room which is above the entrance. I have had issued with the kettle, mattress and shower. Usually the staff are quite helpful and resolve any problems.

This was the most horrible stay I have ever. Had the bed was damp cleanliness was very poor and the night man was very rude and in professional he jumped over the reception desk I asked him for tea bags Sugar and milk and he didn't do this very rude very unprofessional I will not be staying here again

Fine reasonably priced hotel.

Pros: The room was small, clean and recently re- furbished. Pleasant outlook over park. Large Victorian building. Had grander days.
Cons: Very disappointing breakfast. Only white sliced bread and coffee from machine, Packet cereals and standard croissant.
Location: Area very run- down, though doubtless due for re-development. Fairly central, though bus connections to city centre poor.
We were in Birmingham for one night to attend a city centre wedding.

False Information

There was no mention on the site that guests had to provide proof of ID to stay. Lost my money as did not have proof on me, waste of my time and money. Avoid
