We were in the Warwick wing the minute you open the door to go in the wing it was a smell of damp. When we got into the room the smell was still there. The paper was coming off the wall. We asked to be moved it was not a problem but the room still had the smell of damp. I understand that the building is old, I suffer from asthma. We had booked in for 2 nights only stayed 1, i got a refund.

Location was alright bus stopped rifht outside along with tram , on arrive to check at 3pm like atated on there wev and conformation email to be told check in was 4pm so comes back to collect key for room and expectedly busy as it was check in time butthere was no socail distance peoplee where standing so close to each other , gets our key and heads upstair to the room amdd the size was good 1 double and 2 singles but the room was dirty crisps on the floor food around the cupboard it clealy had fredh bedding and if anything a quick over with hoover .

Arrived to check in to find the lobby completely full of guests trying to check in, should of been a staggered check in system, no obvious queue it was kinda each for their own going on. Kids running about the hotel playing tag, no form of social distance in place. Firealarm set of by some drunks at 1am meaning we had to evacuate. Struggled to get back to sleep, beds were solid may as well of been sleeping on a steel plate. Decoration is extremely dated, damp patches pn walls and carpets, and then, by the morning couldnt even have a cuppa as the "long life" milk was out of date by 3 months! Overall very displeasing and poorly managed. No apologies for the abrupt 1am fire alarm, no one seemed to care, this place would be great for a few students to mess around in whilst drunk and high on recreations, but no good for us, families or anyone else for that matter!

It is our second visit as we come Christmas shopping , its out of the town and warm and welcoming. Staff talk to you and have a smile for you. Hotel warm as was cold outside. We will be back. Also happy with prices.
