Staff lovely. Could do with some updating. Room was very big and lovely view. You can only use cash at the bar or a CREDIT CARD not a VISA DEBIT CARD. Really close to tram stop.

Creaky floor boards, doors not closing right. And the key cards never working when getting to the room so having to walk a fair distance to reception, an inconvenience.

Very welcoming staff and very homely atmosphere. Great car parking facilities. However we were deeply disappointed at the fact that the shower wasn't working, the bath had not been cleaned and was clogged up with hair. The lamps didn't work next to the bedside and overall the room was bissmal.

This is such a shame as the hotel is within a beautiful buliding. I cannot believe it is being left to run down. The reception staff were quite friendly but the bar man was quite abrupt when we asked for drinks. It sounds like they get a lot if complaints so he was probably having a bad day. We had a family room and the main bedroom was fine but the kids bedroom was terrible. Biscuits all on the floor and wallpaper peeling off. We asked the cleaners to give it a vac but when we returned it had not been done and reception said it was too late to do it. We didn't pay a lot for the room but we have had much better experiences in holiday/premier inns for the same price. The bedding and bathroom was clean but probably won't stay here again. Shame!

Savoy - Posh (Not)

We had taken our grandchildren as s treat for a belated birthday. The hotel is very dated. Our family room was on the 1st floor right at the end of a maze of corridors. The kids room had a botched up piece of wallpaper missing which had been stuck down and pained over. Bottom bunk had sand at the bottom of the bottom sheet? Double bed had pillow which where thin and the bed hard and uncomfortable. Tea &Coffee sachets cheap & nasty. Blood spots on carpet. Marks on windowsill. Nets need a wash. Finally, breakfast self service, went down for 8am when they said it opened already nearly full. Breakfast cold, only item warm was the toast. Overall very disappointed and would never stay there again.

Hotel is not as shown on trivago

Very disappointing. Hotel room is not as shown on trivago. We asked for two double beds and to our shock we got two single beds joint together and two foldable beds joint together for my children with slats missing. Middle of the night youngest had to move in with us due to him falling between the slats. Under the beds it was filthy with chewing gum stuck and pieces of paper. The bathroom door would not lock or close, toilet would not flush. Was supposed to stay two night but checked out next day. Complained to staff but was told can't do anything as I booked via trivago third party site
