I was in room 418 which was filthy full of bugs and dirty I complained to reception numerous times about live and dead flies, mosquitoes and large moths in my room and they did nothing I asked to be moved to another room and they said they were full and if I left it was my choice but I would not get a refund As you can see from the pics the room was not clean and all they do is say it's all my fault as the windows were open. The windows were not open as I had a fan plugged in all the time as I kept getting bitten. The bugs were coming from the unclean light fitting and ceiling tiles. After being bitten numerous times I ended up having a few hours sleep on the hotel sofa I put a review on trip advisor and they have accused me of being intoxicated and abusive to staff which is an outright lie I have written to Blackpool Council environmental health asking for them to visit and look into this The staff and management at this hotel are rude and unhelpful and even though it's their fault will not refund customers they should all be sacked

Hi Anonymous, The reservation was charged correctly as advertised by ebookers for a 1 night Bed and Breakfast rate. Other guests you had communicated on site with and compared rates had been on an inclusive package including all meals and travel. All package rates are significantly cheaper for most holidays if the individual days are costed out as a comparison. Regards Management

Important for you to read before you book

Pros: The entertainment was a nice touch as it was included in the cost of the room. Bingo was disappointing as you only win on 1 Line and Full House.
Cons: The owners should look at investing £1,000 per room for new beds, carpets and curtains. Nothing flashy, just basics.
Location: This is in a central location to the pleasure beach and tower.
Upon arrival, found that parking (albeit free) was on street behind this hotel. This ad hoc arrangement may disappoint you during busy periods. You need to know that the lift only carries 2 people. If you are claustrophobic and cannot climb stairs, this will really impact on your stay. It also makes "a quick trip to your room" more of a long-winded challenge. Rooms start from the 2nd floor. Due to the age of this hotel, the floorboards are creaky. It disturbed our sleep when we used the toilet in the night. Thankfully, we only heard ourselves as we were on the top floor; but this would've definitely disturbed the room below us. The bed was well worn and well overdue replacement. It was uncomfortable and where the divan was broken, a lump of wood was used as a repair. Upon inspection of this, it was also found that the skirting was filthy dirty and hadn't seen a cleaning cloth in months. Finally, there is no breakfast menu. This is a minor detail, but we found this disjointed when trying to decide what to eat. Under pressure, it was easier just to ask for a full English. When it arrived in under 2 minutes, we knew this was a waitered buffet service and found the food mildly warm. The poached eggs were hard and dry; the bacon and sausages were tasteless and the toast was cold and rubbery. Fortunately there is a cafe within walking distance called Tuck Inn Cafe and a McDonalds further along the promenade. This defeats the point of paying for Bed and Breakfast!
