Our room was very spacious and clean. The hotel itself was lovely with plenty of room. The pool and outdoor area were lovely, a great way to spend a sunny afternoon.

Tired Room and everything was an extra

Pros: Staff & SPA
Cons: charges - extras annoy everyone so STOP IT and sort the bathrooms out!!!
Location: It's Bournemouth - everything is there!
our visit didn't start well, Breakfast wasn't included (and I know I definitely choose it!) then we were charged £X per guest per stay for the SPA... Really! why not include it it's 5% of the room booking! Then £XX to park my car in the carpark!. So by the time we left the reception area I wasn't really happy - staff were great and clearly had had this vented at them before. Room was at best tired (Room 49) the bathroom was a bit moldy, toilet handle was falling off and shower constantly dripped. The bathroom was 1/5 at best - This bathroom needs ripping out and starting again - renting it out is asking for bad reviews! Patio window didn't seal properly and we were by the fire exit where the smell of smoke wandered into our room a bit - Not too sure what the hotel could do about this... Well apart from ALARM the exit so no-one would use it for cigarette breaks. Dinner was nice but it was freezing in the restaurant - the staff know this but again nothing they could do as it's got a lot of open glass. Wear a big jumper to eat. Breakfast was good but again I was a bit aggrieved that this was even charged. SPA was small but excellent - apart from the fact there were no robes for the first day. All things considered Managers you are letting your staff down. Your staff are really great and friendly but everything else ie all the bits under your control let you down. Unify the charges - revamp the rooms and sort give your great staff a pat on the back, they saved you from 1/5

Welcoming, comfortable and convenient.

Pros: Large familiar room - Breakfast - Heated swimming pool - Restaurant staff
Location: Bournemouth town centre, beach, pier, oceanarium, gardens, bike rental...
I stayed with my husband and two children for three nights. Not only was the service welcoming but also effective. Especially kind was the restaurant staff. The room was large and confortable and in the bathroom there were a shower and a bath. Complimentary toilettary, coffee and tea, and buscuits as well. Free access to the Gym and the heated swimming pool.

Pleasant enough Hotel with a new Bathroom.

Pros: Bathroom and clean bed also I like the dark room.
Cons: Paintwork is clipped giving a shabby effect overall.
Location: OK but near the Uni so noisy at night with carousing students.
Comfy bed and nice room with clean bed & carpet. The paintwork needs a clean or lick of paint. Superb spa with great pool and pleasant staff. This hotel is not near the sea, rather a good walk away.It is close to the Uni so some noisy students hung around late into the evening. This was a one night stop over. My room was clean and comfy although it had a lovely new bathroom the paintwork was chipped and a bit dirty on the door. The hotel has a superb spa and the staff were very friendly.

Nightmare 4th floor room 93

Hotel from the outside looks nice, but once inside the hotel deco is outdated and lacking the nostalgia. Stayed on the 4th floor where there was so much noise from the boiler pump, freezing cold, no modern heating and air conditioning. Cracks in the wall, and ceiling. Not the best clean toilet either. I feel sorry for anyone that ends up on 4th floor rooms 90 n above. Complained and was moved to 1st floor , much better room, bigger and better fascilities but wouldn't call this hotel 4 star they still have a long way to go. The floor boards were creaky, curtain was hanging off, and no power shower, it looked like it was struggling for water pressure. For the price i paid premier/ holiday inn would have been way better if not 1st class. They beed mordenisatuon and maintaining, probably not the best weekend away i hoped for. Parking was also limited despite them advertising plenty of parking

Comment from Hotel Management

Dear John, Thank you for your feedback on the hotel. I am sorry to hear the room was not as expected but glad you were offered a room move. I am sorry to hear that the parking was an issue this is not a common occurrence as we do have two large car parking for residents. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards, Paul Clarke General Manager

Pros: The staff and spa
Cons: The décor
The staff were very helpful, but the décor is really tired and in desperate need of a refurb. Bit disappointed with being charged £10 per day parking when parking in the hotel grounds. Overall a pleasant stay.

Hotel was lovely with a beautiful swimming pool

Pros: Swimming pool
Cons: rooms need updating and decent showers.
Location: Close to beach and town centre 5-10 min walk
hotel was in a great location easy to find parking was a slight issue as they had a function on in the hotel car park was full so we had to find parking else where until some parking became available. I personally think the charges are a little steep for the parking. When we did arrive we were told that some of the facilities for the spa were not working which was a little disappointing as that was why we chose this hotel, but we were given compliantly pass to use what was working. The room was lovely until you looked a little closer holes in the walls dirty paint work. Bathroom again was lovely until you needed to shower, shower was just a trickle had to stand so close to the taps to get underneath it, had to wait 5mins for hot water to actually come through and then it was only warm.
