The front staff are very unaccommodating and very inflexible despite being a guest at the wedding they would not allow for us to check out late by 1 hr so that we could get changed. The rooms are very dusty - I spent the whole night sneezing - there were moths in the room and two spiders in the bathroom. I don't think the sofas have ever been cleaned.

Fabulous Weekend

Pros: The staff made a beautiful place become like a home from home.
Cons: The size of the bath. As Britain's most romantic hotel (and it is!) we would have like to be able to be in the bath, comfortably, at the same time.
Location: The BridgeEnd pub in Talgarth is a must and use Louise's taxi service from Hay on Wye, she is wonderful. The local countryside is delightful.
We couldn't have enjoyed the experience more. The staff were wonderfully warm, personable and excellent at their jobs. The food was delicious and the surroundings magnificent.

country luxury in an idyllic setting

Pros: Location,friendly atmosphere,great food,fairly priced
Perfect way to relax and sample exquisite country living.The hotel staff are welcoming and helpful.Our room was cosy and furnished to a high standard.The evening meal was superb ,served in an elegant dining room with a convivial atmosphere.Lounging in the sitting room afterwards enjoying petit fours in front of an open log fire was a lovely way to finish off the day. The following day we enjoyed a hearty breakfast and a bracing walk along the Wye river,that included n encounter with frisky livestock! All in all it was an excellent experience and very reasonably priced
