I didn't expect a parking charge at the hotel but when I received an email to this effect on 22/12 I contacted hotel reception who promised to reserve a designated bay which didn't happen. I looked around the car park several times in the awful weather and gave up in the end. The hotel is fantastic otherwise and unfortunately the parking arrangements really let it down. On arrival we were told breakfast was included in our room rate but then had a phone call in our room to say it was £20 extra. Very disappointing.

My stay was fine until the next day when I was a used of breaking a kettle in the room. This was not my doing the kettle wasn’t used at all. They proceeded to charge my card without my authority. If anyone chooses to stay here ensure everything in the room is checked.

lovely hotel, room small but adequate, very noisy location (1st floor right by the lift though requested away, noisy traffic outside)
