It was confusing and unclear where the reception was (2nd floor) but once we found it , it was smooth process. There are lots of measures in place to protect hotel guests and staff such as screens, markings on floor, online check in, key cards are placed in plastic sleeve so the receptionist does not touch it. The lady on reception was very friendly. They don't store luggage. Parking was easy at multi-storey car park few minutes walk away. The hotel advises to park on level 6 as there is a connecting bridge. We arrived on a very windy day and the bridge was closed, there isn't a lift so we lugged our bags down and up the stairs several times. We booked a seaview room which was ok. Room was clean and cosy, comes with all amenities. Comfy bed. Good shower. Quirky decor. We were next to some people who were in and out the room quite a bit and the doors bang very loudly; this is not the hotels fault. It’s a good spot if you want to be away from main Brighton town. You are at the start of undercliff walk and its a 2 mile walk to Brighton Pier.

New'ish, clean, very nice modern rooms, a great atmosphere and really enjoyed the overnight. Access from the boardwalk can be a little tricky finding, but of course there is the front entrance. I would definitely stay again as a hotel of choice.

Overnight stay for training day

The hotel is in a fantastic location. It states that it has parking but it means the multistory car park nearby which is free of charge and despite warnings of a maximum 4hr stay , everyone parks longer (>1day) without issue. The ground floor entrance is tucked away - missed it the first time walking past. Lift access to the main reception on the 2nd floor and we were greeted with a warm welcome by the friendly staff. The room we had was city facing on the 3rd floor- not the most spectacular view compared to the sea view obviously, but quiet. The room was small, we took it in turns to walk around the bed . However it was clean , comfortable and well equipped . A seemless short stay !

Nice room with great bathroom and really confortable bed. Really convinient parking, just a short walk away from the hotel.Good restaurant, very friendly staff. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Modern hotel located in the centre of the Brighton

Pros: Modern, spacious and very comfortable room, in an excellent location.
Cons: Reception/Foyer area was cold. Car parking was on a public multi-storey some way away, so more local secure parking would be better.
Location: Plenty of restaurants and bars in close proximity to the Hotel, including a Cinema Complex, but about 30 minutes walk away from Brighton City Centre.
Room wasn't ready on arrival just after 3.00pm, but sent to bar to wait with a complimentary glass of bubbly by way of recompense! Upgraded to Club Room with balcony overlooking the Marina which was very nice. Continental breakfast the following day was excellent, and the dining room again overlooking the Marina as the sun came up was a great start to the morning.

So pleased we chose Malmaison in Brighton

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Good base to explore Brighton. Short bus ride or a taxi into town. Plenty of restaurants and can book boat trips and water sports.
Great style, fantastic service, comfortable bed and fab shower! If you can book a room with a sea view - worth the bit extra. Parking is free in the Marina car park (ignore the 4 hour signs) and if you use level 6 you can walk straight across the boardwalk to the hotel.

Lovely stay, hotel recently refurbished.

Stay here was great, bed was so comfy! Room a little small but lovely view from the marina. About 20 minute walk into Brighton town centre however great that there is free parking here.
