The hotel was excellent but our stay marred by EBOOKERS who were very unhelpful when we tried to cancel our last nights stay, although we were entitled to cancel, despite the hotel staff trying to help us to achieve this.So i give the Point Hotel 10/10 and EBOOKERS 0/10.

Kangaroo Point Hotel

We stayed here 5 nights the room and general appearance of the hotel as a complete package was very good. The in house restaurant provides a good buffet style breakfast. The evening meal we usually had in the town trying the hotel on one occasion which was fine. There is a construction site on the west side of the hotel on two occasions we had jack Hammering at 7am so best to pick a Rome on the east of the hotel.

Fab staff, beds & pillows. Bit noisy old bathrms

You cannot find nicer staff. So friendly and happy. Vry proficient and professional. Very welcoming to overseas guests and Australians. Beds and pillows were the comfiest I have ever experienced! Quite noisy as right on Storey Bridge. Bathrooms old and tired. Much need of an upgrade but memories of staffs, good sleeps and yummy breakfast will stay long.

Really good hotel in a good location. +: free parking with easy access, buffet breakfast, service at the reception, room service -: really poor WiFi! Expect to have good WiFi in this high star rating hotel, but no. Only minus

Damit kein Missverständnis aufkommt, ich bewerte hier im Verhältnis zum Standart, je nach Portal wird das Hotel mit 4,5 oder 5 Sternen angegeben. Die verdient es meiner Meinung nach nicht, zumindest unser Zimmer im 2.OG war doch deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und relativ dunkel. Es ist alles da was man braucht, sauber, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter/innen und das Frühstück war das beste auf unserer Rundreise. Bei 3,5 oder 4Sterne - Standard würde meine Bewertung besser ausfallen, das Hotel ist in Ordnung.

Das Hotel ist in einer ruhigen Gegend. Es gibt in der Nähe jedoch eine Fähre mit der man den Fluss kostenfrei überqueren kann. Danach befindet man sich nur noch ca. 5 Gehminuten von der Einkaufsmeile entfernt. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber. Das Pool war zwar nicht so gross. Man konnte dennoch gut seine Längen schwimmen. Während unseres Aufenthaltes ging ein Fehlalarm des Feuermelders los. Dies war nicht schlimm. Ich schreibe dies mehr in den Kommentar, weil man in solchen Extremsituationen am besten sieht, wie der ganze Apparat funktioniert. Die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und gingen auf die Gäste ein. Alles hätte reibungslos funktioniert und jeder wusste, was er zu tun hatte. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert.
