An excellent week in an excellent resort

Pros: Everything. The room, the location, the staff, the facilities, all great.
Cons: The only thing I can think is the shop could have a larger selection of products.
Location: A stones throw from the beach, very easy to access Busselton with plenty to do there. Very quiet area with plenty of room.
We stayed at the Mandalay resort for the second week of our trip to Australia and we couldn't fault it at all. We arrived slightly early but that wasn't an issue and we were in our room within 10 minutes. We were in Beach Cottage 6 which was fantastic. It was spacious, had all of the essentials we would need for the week, tea coffee, milk, and cleaning equipment etc. It was perfectly located with a play park to the front of the property and a large grass area to the front with the beach just a stones throw away. There was plenty going on around the resort including a film night for the kids, a fantastic day of events for the melbourne cup, visits from pizza and coffee vans and more. The pool area was great with a heated indoor pool, a fairly warm outdoor pool and fantastic slide for all to enjoy. The shop had a fairly minimal selection but there are plenty of shops just minutes down the road (by car) so that wasn't an issue. The staff were friendly, the people around the resort were friendly. Honestly couldn't say a bad thing about it and would love to come back again in the future.
