It was well placed to get to the centre as it was within walking distance. Gym totally inadequate, could not really be called a gym as it did not even have any weights and was badly sign posted. The breakfast was good but they could have had more natural instead of tin and friend eggs would not have gone amiss. they should up date their information on ebookers as it stated that check out time was 11 am when it was nice to find out that it was 12 and it says so on other sites when we checked. They also gave free bottled water in the room which was welcomed. The beds could be a bit softer and maybe a bit more toiletries like conditioner. Staff were pleasant

A bit boring and decidedly unromantic. But nothing wrong as such, ideal for business trips.

Not very impressed with this place , the staff seemed nice on arrival but when we got to our room late at night and found the room was stifling hot and the air con wouldn’t work they didn’t want to know , they refused to move us , wouldn’t send anyone to fix it and told us to open the window which didn’t help as it was really warm outside . The hotel is very dated and the bar was expensive so we wouldn’t stay here again .

Good location, lacks basic facilities, bad service

Pros: Good location, room was fairly clean and spacious
Cons: Needs better wifi throughout room, and tea/coffee facilities included! (even if it's just in the lobby)
Disappointed by the pettiness of a so called 3 star hotel that not only was there no tea/coffee in the room or in the lobby, but when I asked reception if/where there is “complimentary tea/coffee included with the room”, they directed me to the bar. Unsure if they understood, I checked with another receptionist and then the barman as well and was told that "yes it was complimentary" only to be charged at the end of my stay! “Drinks at the bar are never free” I was told patronisingly by the male receptionist at checkout (morning of 14 March) and his manager also insisted I pay, which I did in the end but it's not good service to be deceived over a few euros. I already suspected the bar drink wasn't free hence why I triple checked in the first place. To be clear, I was never told before ordering that there would be an extra charge, I was just shoved a receipt at the end, it seems like everyone just nodded to my question without actually listening. As for the room, it was fine but quite stuffy at night - there wasn’t air conditioning as far as we can we could easily find. The corridors in the morning are very noisy, and the flushing in the ensuite was very loud. The WiFi was very patchy, it didn’t work half of the time and if it did, only on one side of the room. Overall an ok stay in a convenient location marred by staff that don't seem like they care and lack of basic facilities.

Good location but Some staff let it down

Upon entering the hotel reception I waited patiently to check in, following a long arduous journey from the UK. I was duly greeted by a blond lady who literally said 'what'. No hello, how may I help you. Nothing except for what. She didn't give us any information about the check out time, hotel facilities etc. Just to be clear I was not rude I just waited for her to finish tapping away at the computer. Some staff were fantastic, polite and really were amazing - it was let down by the lady on my first night and another gentlemen at reception who was very aggressive.

nice hotel very central

Pros: closeness to Grand Place and Brussels midi
Cons: that you could get a drink after 11.15pm
Very pleased with my stay at the Bedford hotel, staff pleasant and helpful, bar staff could learn a bit more about customer relations they seemed more concerned about getting away for a drink at their local watering hole than finishing their job at the hotel. But other than that a very good hotel and will stay there again.

Lovely hotel.

Pros: Lovely inviting hotel close to the centre, train, tram and metro.
Cons: Tea and coffee facility in the bedroom.
Location: Close to many of the famous landmarks, all within walking distance.
Excellent staff, very helpful and polite. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and plenty of it.

Very convenient location

Excellent short stay in Brussels convenient for Grand Place etc., close to many good bars and museums. Excellent breakfast which was very busy and crowded but still the staff managed to keep everything ticking over. Generous sized and clean rooms. Room a bit 'fusty' but open window solved that. Would definitely go back.
