Outstanding

We stayed for 3 nights (couple in our twenties). I have stayed in a Steigenberger before (In Leipzig) and I had feared this wouldn't live up to our expectations after an amazing stay in Leipzig, however I actually think the Brussels hotel is nicer as it seems larger and also more of a buzz to it. The room was fab. When we first arrived our room smelt of smoke however the Concierge who was present got us an available adjacent room immediately, let us in and went down himself to change our keys. We also forgot our travel adapters and he kindly gave us two to borrow. The service throughout our stay was second to none. The concierge in particular were outstanding. The only negative I could say was drinks in the bar were pricey and the food in the bar was only average, not great for the prices charged. The location is good, the tram outside brings you into the other parts of the city which is a 20-30 minutes stroll but with lovely scenery. Overall, if I return to Brussels I will certainly be returning to the Steigenberger!

Excellence in everything

We stayed at the Steigenberger hotel for the second time..It was as great as the first. The hotels lobby has a wonderful design. The staff was extremely polite, they did everything to make our stay comfortable. We had a superior room booked but were updated to deluxe. The room was huge, comfortable, cozy.Great design and clean. The bathroom was marble and clean. We also liked the hotels restaurant.Great menu, helpful staff, good prices excellent wine list. The location of the hotel is so convenient for shopping, for just taking a walk.It is about 20 min walk to the city center. We would definitely stay at the hotel again..

Absolutely wonderful

My friends and I decided to go for a long weekend away to Brussels for the first time. The Steigenberger GrandHotel was an absolute dream. We arrived around 10am and were checked in without a fuss, even though check in wasn't until 3pm. We could not get over how polite and friendly all of the staff were (reception/doormen/bellboys/roomservice/maidservice etc.) They were extremely helpful when we wanted to organise trips to Brugge, telling us places we must visit etc. Every time we returned to the hotel the staff remembered what we had planned for that day and asked if we had enjoyed it. The doorman, Mohammad, was so lovely upon arrival and showing us to our room, he took great care explaining all of the features/amenities of the room and how to use the free Nespresso machine. The room it's self was huge and the bathroom was a dream. Being 6"2 I had no problem with the length of the bath or height of the shower. As 3 of us were sharing a room, we requested extra towels etc and received them without fuss. The Hotel is a fair walk from the Grand Place, but we were given a map by Bob at reception who marked the location of the hotel, good places to shop, places to see, transport etc. The concierge informed us on how to get to Brugge for the day and how much it would cost roughly. That is a must, Brugge is just wonderful. We were not aware of the turn down service, but were grateful for it, they also leave you free bottles of water next to your bed. We found ourselves a little out of our comfort zone in Brussels as people mainly speak French, but basic french and English will get you by. The mini bar is expensive but that seems to be a given with all hotels all over the world. Though we did think that many of the Spa services were quite reasonable compared to London prices, though we did not have time to try them, unfortunately. The ONLY problem we had with the hotel was the fact that you had to pay for WiFi/internet use. In such a wonderful, high standing and expensive hotel we found this quite ridiculous. Never before have we had to pay for WiFi and refused to do so on this trip, though it was quite nice not to have our phones buzzing every other minute.

Pros: Confort.
A recommander.
