    Good value!

A nice clean, compact room, which was perfect for a couple of nights. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room, a hairdryer & small wardrobe to hang things etc. Bonus to have the sky channels in the room too. The pub itself is very much a locals pub & the staff were fantastic at serving both the local's pints alongside the guest's breakfast on the morning of the rugby world cup final. The breakfast was good, cereals, juices and a cooked breakfast available, plus a huge pot of tea or a cup of coffee. This was very good value and I would recommend this for a short stay. The only thing that was a negative was the size of the car park. It's quite tight but as others have said the staff get everyone in and out so its not a major issue. If you are looking for a good value, safe, well located place to stay in Buxton then I would highly recommend this place. Don't be put off by the fact that it might be noisy in the pub on a Friday or Saturday night, I couldn't hear a thing in the room, the sound proofing was very good.

The Queens Head is a typical small town pub showing sports on Tvs dotted around throughout the day - pub a bit dated and rough around the edges...HOWEVER- the separate accommodation at the rear of the pub was.
