Old coaching inn that has been beautifully and tastefully transformed into a boutique hotel. Loved the decor of our room, huge super king bed and very clean, well equipped bathroom with incredibly powerful shower. Radio, tea/coffee/biccies, toiletries in bathroom. We stayed a Sunday night and it was reasonably priced for the quality of the room. You can checkin and out online quickly and the hotel is a stones throw from Canterbury high street and many great eateries and shops. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on food or service. We'll be back again to stay though, highly recommended.

Lovely little room, shame there was no wardrobe space.... probably as it was such a cosy room.

Beautifully decorated, elegant hotel in excellent location for the centre of Canterbury, cathedral, theatre and restaurants. Will definitely stay again. Cocktails and mocktails highly recommended!

This is more of a cocktail bar than a pub, and does not serve evening meals. The breakfast was good. Our allocated room was 'cosy' ie quite small and was by the road/pavement and next to traffic lights. We opted to upgrade for £10 to a quieter and larger room out the back. The lady at the reception was very helpful.

Lovely hotel with good atmosphere and central to Canterbury town centre, would definitely recommend. Room 8 didn’t have a good window view but didn’t bother us as we didn’t stay in room long during the day.

Very well situated, close by to the city wall, friendly staff but room 48's view from the window was a high brick wall a few metres away! Decor in the room well overdue a makeover, scuffed skirting boards, squeeking floor boards, dull old fashioned curtains, handy free car park but full on return. So good and bad points throughout.

Comfortable hotel near city centre

Pros: The convenient position, very close to the West Gate and pedestrianised city centre streets. Plenty of places to eat and drink close by.
Cons: Not a lot.
Location: Very convenient for the city centre and Marlowe Theatre. We spent the whole two days exploring the city and cathedral.
The Falstaff is a lovely old coaching inn, with many modern features.Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We stayed in the "Old Woodmill" just across the car park. Breakfast is good and plentiful. Car parking is free, but limited to 35 spaces which was fine when we stayed. Entrance to the car park is controlled, so non hotel guests cannot take up valuable spaces.
