Guernsey Airport

Located less than 3 miles from St. Peter Port, Guernsey Airport handles all the air traffic in this area. The airport provides flights through six different airlines, though some of those companies only offer seasonal or charter service. The airport dates back to 1939 and now has a new terminal that opened in 2004. This terminal gives travellers the chance to shop, grab a bite to eat, or relax in comfortable chairs before or after a flight.

Leaving the Airport

There are more than 20 local companies offering taxi service to and from the airport. Some of these companies, like Sally's Taxi, have larger cabs available that seat up to eight passengers. A Europcar rental counter is situated at the Guernsey Airport, and you can also rent a car from Hertz, Rhino, Seaquest, Economy, or Value. A rental car gives you the chance to explore the island at your own pace. City buses from the airport are the cheapest option with all rides costing just £1, and there are bus stops located all across the island.
