Beautiful building and rooms but limited public spaces so quite restrictive. Rooms very dark and in our case with a clear view of the street outside so needed to keep curtains closed during the day ! Needs blinds

Decor is modern and new, location is great, price was good, bed was super comfy. Parking is not included as stated on the booking - it's first come, first served for a few spaces at the back of the hotel and all the parking at the front is out of action. No tea & coffee in rooms. TV - good selection of channels but the channels I tried the sound and picture were out of sync. I think the George could be very good if the above is fixed. I stayed before under the previous ownership and didn't have any of these issues. But the revamped rooms are very nice (if a little dark) and the location is excellent.

Due to this central location parking is limited and on a first come first served basis however our Front of House Team are more than happy to advise on the nearest Pay and Display.
