Disappointed

Pros: Nice building!
Cons: Service of the staff. Additional charges for Spa unreasonable
Location: Location good, easy to get to town Centre & Shops, Zoo and Cheshire Oaks.
Service at the hotel disappointing. Room service took over an hour to arrive despite being told it would be within 30 minutes. We waited over 30 minutes to be seated in the Terrace Restaurant, with staff walking past the queue of people not even acknowledging their existence. Tables were available but because they hadn't been cleared they couldn't sit other diners. It's out of order to have to pay an additional £15 per room to use the facilities of the Spa. I understand people need to book a slot to ensure no H&S risks, but a system whereby people booked a slot without being charged £15 would be reasonable. We paid nearly £1k for 2 rooms for 3 nights, so I would expect all of the facilities to be available without additional charge. Wouldn't visit again.

First and last stay

For the cost of the hotel, we were expecting something a bit nicer. The rooms were ok, but not particularly welcoming. We had a Suite and The sofa bed for our child had not been made up prior to check in. Someone came quite quickly to do this, but when they opened the sofa bed found it had been put away from a previous use with all the bedding and sheets still in place - even the staff member looked horrified at this. We then went to use the pool, to be told there was a £15 charge for this which we reluctantly paid. If we’d have wanted to use the pool again in the morning before check out, it was another £15!!!! When we had already paid £150 for the pretty average room without breakfast, this seemed a bit much. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Hotel was ok but construction work being done

On arrival there was a queue on check in 15min, the out side of the hotel was like a building site. The spar pool was over crowded and the massage I had felt like it was the first one the lady had ever given. I was very disappointed as I've stayed in a number of Hilton hotels and standards are normally high

Fantastic Family getaway

My disabled mother, my fifteen year old daughter and myself stayed at this wonderful hotel for two nights. We had full use of all the facilities my daughter loved the spa pool which I must say was a fantastic experience. On the first night we had a lovely meal in the Brassiere lovely service. With friendly staff. This continued on the following morning during breakfast time again the staff were very helpful. We had plenty of choice at breakfast which was lovely and hot. We stayed in room 20 on the ground floor which catered for my disabled mother with a assessable bathroom and a separate bathroom for myself and my daughter. Our whole experience of this wonderful hotel made our stay in Chester a fantastic experience as the hotel is only 10 minutes away from Chester. We highly recommend this Hotel.

Perfect weekend break

We booked a late break for a phenomenal saving price. The attention to detail at the hotel was second to none and the facilities were really top class. The cookie on arrival really did give that lovely touch. The staff couldn't do enough and the complimentary pool and fitness suite was amazing. Outdoor heated pool. Indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, aroma room and lots more, really did make for the perfect relaxing weekend. Fantastic location only a short 5 minute taxi/car ride away from chester town and close to attractions such as the zoo.

Shopping Trip Delight

Excellent location for a shop at Cheshire Oaks, then to return to a swim and sauna, what more do you need! Chester zoo nearby and easy access from M53/M56, definitely my hotel of choice for the North East. Family friendly suite accommodates 4 easily.
