- Disliked: Staff & service, property conditions & facilities
booked one of the three "fabulous" suites. It took me over five minutes to gain entry to the car park and I resorted to phoning as the buzzer was ignored. The phone was also ignored! This was repeated on return, every time but one. The room was splendid, lots of space and lovely views, however reception did not answer my calls in room trying to order room service. I had to go down to order direct from reception. I didn't bother ordering another evening meal as the first was so bad and the menu very limited, unless you want a sandwich. The food arrived, disappointing and no condiments on the tray. First breakfast was just as bad, no cutlery or glasses for the juice. Second breakfast delivered without glasses and comprised of half a sausage (yes, half a sausage!), one rasher of bacon and a fried egg on bread. Both breakfasts delivered late. Third breakfast was on time but again without glasses and cutlery. First night it became apparent the bath leaked and flooded the entire bathroom, shower was also blocked and overflowed. I called down to ask for maintenance to fix this and I asked again when I left for the day. Called again upon return as it had still not been fixed. I eventually spent 15 mins under the bath fixing it myself, the overflow pipe was completely detached! The car park charges on checkout were a shock £10 per night, not mentioned on booking, nor check in.
