We were put in the Buckingham room. The room has a damp problem. Doesn't look very nice. We tried to take a shower around 9 ish the shower just dribbled. Phoned reception was told the system was presurised and to try and take shower after 10 when the kitchen was closed. The hotels communal areas were very nice looks like they cater for weddings. The saving grace for our stay was the breakfast it was very nice.

Lovely hotel and got a good price which was what we needed for a stopover on the way to a friend’s wedding in Leeds. We were in the Buckingham room which was a lovely little room, quite small but it had everything we required. The one issue was that the room was quite hot! There was a bathroom with a heated rail in which was too hot to touch and also a radiator under the window near the bed. We tried to use the room thermostat to reduce the temperature and slept on top of the bed rather than under the covers as it was so warm, surprising as it was a cold rainy day. We woke at 2am sweating and dehydrated, drank lots of water and tried to open the window to get some air into the room. After messing about with the thermostat again we moved a chair and found a dial next to the radiator which we turned down. Had to also take our clothing off as so hot!! The room temperature eventually went down but was still too warm and we much have each woken about 5 times to drink water. I woke feeling very thirsty and dehydrated in the morning. We could see that the radiator cover had been kicked in by a previous guest so not sure if they had also suffered the same. Other than that a lovely hotel and perfect stopover. If you are staying just make sure you find out how to control the room temperature!!

Lovely room comfy bed. Staff very welcoming.

Great hotel 3rd time I have stayed. Resteraunt is very good. Staff really friendly. I have stayed in the executive rooms and found them very comfy. Good coffee just missing biscuits in the room. :-)
