mixed feeling about hotel

Pros: very comfortable bed and breakfast very nice
Cons: the floor - uneven booking site needs to be updated with the changes - non smoking and check out at 11 room could have been cleaner
Location: location very nice and sea view was lovely
Booked a superior room but it did not feel like that and was more like a basis double room. Did have some issues with the TV but they did deal with these when they were told about them, the floor was uneven and creaked every time you walked over it. No milk in room but did get given some when asked for it. when booking was asked if we wanted smoking or non smoking but when we got there were told that whole of hotel was non smoking, also the time to check out of hotel was midday on the booking form but was told we had to be out by 11 room very hot and unable to turn the radiators off or even down so had to sleep with window open and heard traffic and noise outside staff in the morning were very friendly and breakfast was very nice

Perfect view across the beach

My boyfriend and I decided to take a quick trip up to Clacton on Sea - we were really excited and wanted a peaceful get away. The great thing about this hotel is the view and that the close proximity this hotel is to the sea and fair. However the woman downstairs at the reception wasn't the most friendliest she also didn't explain things that well. On the hotels website it states there is wifi yet it didn't work at all when we were there, they also stated that there was free parking yet hardly found a space resulting in us having to leave early because of the restricted parking -___-. Also there was a random plank of wood in the bathroom and the hairdresser didn't work and neither did the TV. Also the shower water was hard to regulate and it was just boiling hot all the time. So far not so good! Overall I would rate this hotel a 3/5 -

Great location, basic hotel

Perfect location for us. it did appear that homeless people were being housed there and the first night I was woken up at 3am but young children outside the room laughing and chatting pushing into the room of the door. After breakfast the next morning one of the children was using the most vile language to their mum which my son was able to clearly hear. Didn't bother complaining as they left that morning.
