Poor sound proofing for a hotel overlooking train station should offer a full refund for customers’ who are unable to sleep due to train noise. Price does not reflect the quality and lack of comfort

A good base for train travel

Pros: location, price, cleanliness
Cons: basic facilities
I needed an inexpensive hotel to stay for one night in order to catch an early train. The hotel proved ideally located, within easy reach of food outlets and I appreciated the bar before going to bed. It has a Victorian and yet modern feel to it. I am likely to use it again.

Enjoyed our stay but could have been better.

Pros: Atmosphere and warm and friendly staff.
Cons: Maybe look at investing in a new heating system. Cast iron isn't always reliable as proven.
Location: We attended Knutford xmas market.
We really enjoyed the get away, but the only problem we have was the radiator in the room wasn't working. The staff did there best to make us feel comfortable which we couldn't have asked for anything else. Provided us with Towel dressing gowns and electric heater. We enjoyed relaxing in the reception area, listening to Christmas music and sipping wine , whilst resting our feet from a busy day shopping. I would stay here again and hope the radiator problem isn't reoccurring.

I won't be staying again

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Stay away from room 122. As there is an air ventilator just underneath be prepared to wake up five o'clock in the morning when the kitchen staff turns it on. Also you can hear every train from the room as well. Restaurant food is awful, i had to send my food back and ended up eating at McDonald. Hotel needs a big renovation!!
