I stay in lot of hotels & for the last 10 years I have stayed in many many hotels in multiple countries. This was my 1st visit to The Park New Delhi. My honest review is here.
Food - 7/10.
Comfort - 8/10
Room Standard - 6/10
Service - 5/10
Staff - 4/10
Location - 10/10
This property seems to be old. Though the building and hotel has that charm, luxury look and X-factor due to its location and close proximity to central business district but it definitely needs some revamp in rooms as everything seemed to be decade old in the room. e.g. you could clearly see wooden flooring to have lot of scratches, hallway carpet seemed to be faded though clean. So while nothing was bad as such, but when you try to compare these amenities with modern days hotels, The Park lags behind.
The most negative thing during my experience was staff and their courteousness. It is understandable that Delhi is known to be for Punjabi culture and surrounding NCR brings a mix of people with specific dialect and language skills (don’t want to name), but staff MUST BE trained to be dressed clean, tidy, well groomed, and most of all, being polite ALL THE TIME. A pleasing smile is worth making someone’s morning. A warm gesture, showing concern and attention towards customer would leave a lasting impression. I DID NOT SEE THAT. And so I was disappointed. Probably I expected little too much.
Hotel is good for business visits, wedding receptions. Will not recommend for family, leisure trips.
