I arrived at the hotel to find the window of my room open in mid October with no heating on. It was ice cold. I complained and they moved me to the room next door where the window was closed, but there was also no heating. In the morning I got a shower and there was no hot water.... So have left thoroughly frozen from my awful stay there

The room was too warm, and the fan provided didn't really help. The windows didn't close properly and were maybe too thin because you could hear stuff going on outside. You could hear the guy in the next room snoring so the walls must be pretty thin. The "door" between bedroom and bathroom was coming off the rails and didnt really allow for any privacy. To be fair to the hotel, I didn't raise this with them because it was late and I was tired but regardless, this was a room they put on offer and thought it was acceptable

Nice hotel a bit dated staff are ok great for 1 night as needed something ASAP. No room thermastate to control temperature cold through the night used there hairdryer to heat room :/. 2 and half *

Rude staff

On arrival, we walked up to the reception in order to check-in. The reception member (shaun) picked up the telephone just as we approched the desk. He did not acknowledge that we were standing there, he didnt smile, or even tell us that he would be with us shortly. The phone call appeared to be with his “boss” as you could hear Shaun talking about various hotel related matters. This conversation carried on for over 10 minutes and not once did the staff member acknowledge us. On finishing the call, there was no apology, no welcome or greeting. He simply said “check-in?”. Very rude and unfriendly member of staff and we would not reccommend this hotel to anyone! All client facing staff should be adequately trained in communication and interpersonal skills. The hotel itself was dated, and the rooms could do with an update. We didn't book a “cosy” room as this looked very small, but the “standard” room was little better. The bathroom was a squeeze, there was little room inside and there was no fridge. Overall...poor.

Nice hotel and close to the center of town

Pros: Up market, Clean, Comfortable and the welcoming staff
Cons: The price of breakfast is to high
Location: It is situated in a prime sport in walking distance of the center of town and near pubs, restaurants and shopping mall.
Nice hotel close to the center of town and where we needed to be. Accommodation was lovely and very comfortable and would like to stay there again. The special offer in price was good too. We would normally have breakfast as well but did not as we felt that £12.00 for breakfast was a bit pricey.

Nice and affordable hotel in the centre of town.

This is a nice hotel in the centre of town close to all amenities. Staff were friendly and welcoming. My only disappointment came on last day. The shower of Room 309 ceased...or there was no water supply so had to have a bath instead.

Lovely

Best pillows ever! Best air con in this horrible heat. Nice clean room. Huge bed! Lovely biscuits for the morning haha :) Only downside is there isn't a lift so we had to take our bags upstairs. Was asked if we needed help but refused as it was only one flight of stairs. Overall, nice hotel and close to city center.
