requested hotel housekeeping staff for 2 extra bath towels for next morning , request declined . Next morning , I phoned the reception to provide me two fresh towels for shower. Head of housekeeping staff told me , she does not have any extra towels. Pathetic . I will not recommend this hotel.

A night out in Doncaster

We said here because of the location and price, it was £5 in a taxi to the centre of Doncaster. The football/rugby ground is opposite with lots of shop and restaurants. There also a stunning lake. The staff are really friendly, hotel spotless, good size rooms and quiet. Free parking. I would stay here again.

Busman's Holiday

Once you've overcome the hotel being at the end of a freight area there's a warm welcome and friendly service from the staff. Very reasonable price, large comfortable room and bed. Armchairs in bar area are looking tired but breakfast choice is ample. Great value if you're not looking for a room with a view.

En route Stop over

Booked as a good value stopover. Had a very minor problem on arriving in the room expecting twin beds as booked message had got lost somewhere, but staff were more than helpful to resolve the problem quickly. Having driven 3 hours to get there, decided to eat dinner in the hotel. Menu choice was not huge, but the food was good and good value even prepared me a meal slightly "off menu"- Only complaint would be that the choice of Ales and wines was a little limited. Seating in bar area was looking quite worn and does give the wrong impression of what the rest of the Hotel might be like. Room was excellent. Buffet Breakfast was superb - Perfect scrambled eggs ! Overall it was a perfect stopover.

night away from kids

Heater didn't work so swapped room, then was perfect. Staff friendly. We had room service at no extra cost, food was good but no deals, limited menu. Went for night without kids, only 5 t.v. channels. Was quiet and relaxing.

Nice hotel shame about the breakfast

We arrived and were greeted well at reception. The room was far bigger than expected, comfy bed and when additional pillows requested they were there in a couple of minutes. The night receptionist was extremely helpful as we had an early taxi for our day out. Cannot fault that side of the business. Breakfast! There were 2 coach parties in, one was a mystery tour - to Donacster? They were muttering about not being allowed eggs with their breakfast. I ordered 2 eggs, they took 15 minutes to arrive. The other breakfast was good but a lack of fruit, the cold plates under the one coffee machine with a queue waiting to pour from the automatic machine. The orange was so week it was almost water and tasteless. I was a sad end to a good hotel stay. Please use the hotel but there are other breakfast places over the road in the retail outlet, unless they improve the breakfast experience that is.

excellent hotel

Good on a budget

Staff were friendly and helpful Bed was really uncomfortable Continously left towels for only one person although room was booked for two Only allowed for 1 cup of tea or coffee in room. Dinner for one night and breakfat was included in our package - dinner was very good but breakfast was awful not worth the £8.95 that you would be charged if it was purchased seperately - it was the first time that I had ever been served grey scarmbled egg !

Do not stay here

As a lone female I felt tied to the hotel in the evening to eat etc and the food was not only of poor quality but was badly presented, had a really limited (choice of only four mains) and very expensive (£3.95 for a trio of ice cream which was three small scoops plonked in the middle of a large plate which was full of ice crystals so I'm guessing had been partly defrosted and refrozen. They don't even sell crisps or nuts to go with your wine or beer (which was flat). Website was really misleading as there aren't two areas for eating/drinking at all, it's just one area attached to reception. As I couldn't eat the breakfast I'd paid for I thought I'd take it with me for later but was told in a very loud voice across the cafe area that it wasn't allowed, I'm fine with the policy but perhaps signs up in the area or being asked discreetly would be better. The rooms were large and comfy but the walls are very thin so I didn't sleep well. It all felt very sub-standard and a bit like a roadside cafe with trainee staff left in charge. I certainly wouldn't recommend it and won't be returning to any Park Inn hotel, I know it's the budget end of the Radisson brand but I would be ashamed to put my name to it, I certainly expected better.

bad exprerience

i had a bad experience at this hotel for the second time. the breakfast was not ready when i went down at 8.00 am. the staff were showing an attitude like they were doing me a favoour instead of the other way. the room linen was not up to standard it was just but a bad experience. the management should spent a little more money on carpet cleaning / or replacement.
