Hotel well located in heart of city centre with easy access to buses, restaurants & coach station. Lovely STAFF as well. However, rooms are small & with very little facilities; shower is particularly small. My 5 year old son and I had one of the most terrible nights in our life there, our third & last night at Avondale Guest House as a drunkard who occupied the room adjacent to ours was shouting or rather roaring after midnight while playing very loud music and using obscene language. Unfortunately even after complaining to the receptionist who had a word with him, he was still going wild... my little son was too scared to sleep in his bed and thus we both squeezed in mine.

Great location

Fantastic place to visit, had wonderful time. Hotel was in the perfect location.

Location, location, location

When staying at Avondale amenities are few, but they were not important to us. We had free wi-fi and breakfast every morning! That was all we needed since we left our room after breakfast and didn't return until evening. The location is perfect. You are about 2 blocks from everything. The staff was kind and very friendly. The room was a little small but it had a double bed, sink, closet, and shower! Also, we were hardly in it. For price, location, and the Full Irish Breakfast you cannot beat the value!

plutôt pas mal

la chambre spacieuse avec une douche tv avec câble serviette changées chaque jour petit déjeuner extra avec bcp de choix en plus du full Irish ( oeuf bacon saucisses toast and beans ) personnels super gentil et agréable situation parfaite et centrale prix très très raisonnable le seul hic pas de wc dans la chambre .. perso j'y retournerai

The staff is very nice and helpful - but the conditions in the hotel and rooms are miserable. They must urgently renovate and put some more love into the remodeling. They are very central, well worth it. The beds were clean and daily made.

Odotukset täyttävä guesthouse

Muutaman päivän miniloma Dublinissa oli taas kerran mukava, ja Avondale Guesthouse täytti odotukset majoittajana ihan hyvin. Talo on selvästi vanha ja ollut majoituskäytössä jo pitkään, mutta huoneita on kuitenkin ajan mittaan remontoitu, ja sisustuksessakin oli ihan yritystä. Pieniä kosteusvaurioitta oli havaittavissa siellä täällä, ja kokolattiamatolla verhotussa huoneen lattiassa oli hauskoja ylä- ja alamäkiä... Yksinkertaiset ikkunat eivät kyllä eristäneet kadun ääniä yhtään, mutta paksut verhot vaimensivat ja pimensivät sen verran, että nukuttua sai varsin hyvin. Maksoimme ekstraa en suite -huoneesta, ja olimme valintaamme tyytyväisiä. Esimerkiksi öiseen aikaan ei olisi ollut kiva lähteä käytävälle vessaan... Ilmeisesti muissakin huoneissa (tai osassa) on kuitenkin suihkukopit huoneen nurkassa - näin ainakin viereisessä huoneessa, jonka siivouksen aikana avoimesta ovesta näimme sisään. Huonehintaan kuului aamiainen, ja se olikin positiivinen yllätys. Sijainti oli hyvä lähellä bussi- ja juna-asemaa sekä raitiovaunupysäkkiä.

Irish Guesthouse

If you want to see how an irish guesthouse looks like - book at Avondale Guesthouse. My room (single) was just after the entry. It had almost everything you need - a big bed, though short for bigger folks (missed a bit closet/shelf or hooks for towels). The shower was pretty small (manageble) and I had to use the toilets upstairs - but they were really fine. And all in all it has its charm and it is just something else than all those clinical hotels you already know. It is really in the Center - not far from The Temple Bar and Trinity College! And after 2 or more beers you don´t mind the bit thin walls :D Irish people are really nice and friendly - so was the staff too. They always tried to help you out and had a nice chat with you! It was really nice to wake up an hear the seagulls - as to be asked what I would like for breakfast! Thumbs up and Cheers!

Hyvä yöpaikka pitkälle viikonlopulle

Mukava ja siisti pikkuhotelli. Ainoa miinus oman vessan puute mutta käytävällä useampi vessa, ei tarvinnut jonottaa. Lyhyt matka O'Connell Streetille ja Liffeylle, lähellä paljon kauppoja ja ravintoloita.
