A very large busy hotel.

Pros: The rooms. lovely location with a village a short walk away
Cons: A shuttle service from the airport. A designated concierge with local knowledge.
A very large impressive hotel. Room had been refurbished (possibly not the furniture) and was very comfortable. It was a very long walk to get to it. The restaurant food was good but felt it was slightly overpriced. Bar are was very busy but over-spill rooms were fine. all staff encountered were very pleasant and friendly. Reception staff gave us 2 lots of wrong information about fairly basic area fact and were not concerned at all about a lost jumper (left in the fairly empty restaurant but never recovered). Didn't use the pool facilities but they looked nice. A nice hotel to visit but be prepared to spend time travelling - just short of an hour to Dublin City by Luas. 50 + euros for a taxi from the airport.

Busy Place

Pros: It is old so a lot of character
Cons: Reception is very congested with the long line ups...and elevators were not that easy to find...
Location: Hotel is near N7 so there are lovely drives nearby and of course a golf course on site...there is a shopping centre not too far away and you are close
I was very surprised by two things mostly...1. our room was miles and miles and miles away from reception and the parking lot was miles and miles and miles away from reception with no back exit. 2. No vending machines or ice within reasonable distance of our room. They are refurbishing the hotel at the moment but the tap in our room was broken and the tv would not work when I first got there 2. Is was really really busy and the pool ws not open past 6 pm on the Saturday. Overall impression was... meh! Staff was helpful and friendly though

Hotel with easy access.

Citywest is always very good for easy access to motorway and city centre. Rooms are clean with very comfortable beds. Booked and paid for a room for 3 adults , which was serviced for 2 adults : 2 coffee cups , 2 sets of towels. Alsoon booking requested a room on ground or 1st floor , close to reception (for just once)!!! , but again we got 5th floor at end of long corridoor. I dont know how we always end up at top of the house . Asked receptionist on check in if any possibility we could have different room as we were regular annual guests but told rooms were already assigned and couldnt be changed. Pity that room wasnt assigned for correct number of adults .

Citywest has lots of pluses .

Convenient to city via nearby Luas . Lots of parking spaces. Spacious and very clean rooms. Hotel undergoing refurbishment but this was very discrete and unobtrusive . Lovely newly decorated room in very nice grey scheme air conditioning or even bigger window opening would have made a huge difference as room was very hot and airless on a humid weekend. Food in bar was good value and enjoyable , breakfast was disappointing but it was an extremely busy Sunday morning.

Clean hotel

Hotel was very busy with irish dancing competition on. Carvery lunch was very poor. Cold dried food, with portions very small. This was only food option other than sandwiches. Girl on reception checking in was not a bit friendly.

Cons: breakfast
Location: we went to the RDS for the holiday show but this hotel is very near all points of interest very easy to access from the motorway
Great room very clean, the only thing I would fault is breakfast wasn't the nicest we've ever had. Plates on the small side other guests said same bit on the small side

Always a great stay!

Another great stay in a well run massive hotel! Plenty of staff on hand and always happy to help. Room was good and adequate for a family of 4. The beds were very comfortable, great not to have a rollout bed for my youngest. Only little thing was that silicon around the bath needs redoing. Will be back again soon.

Would stay again but...

Pros: Spacious room and bath, great breakfast, super location. Clean Sheets and good mattresses.
Cons: Nothing
Location: The Hotel is very close to a Tram stop, takes about 40 min. to get to Towncentre close to most Tourist attractions. The two-way ride costs 7 Euro.
Being a 4**** hotel in this Price range, i would have at least expected to get Slippers as the Floor has got carpets. Food at the Hotel is a bit expensive and not exceptionally good. Great place to stay if you Play Golf. Good mantained greens.
