Overnight stay

The staff were rude and disinterested. This hotel could have huge potential if the right staff were employed on reception and front of house, which would encourage repeat visits. Lacked personality.

Nice hotel. Bit far from town.

Hotel was very nice. Good rooms, swimming pool and sauna a nice touch. If you want beers and fun life then its a bit far from all the action. Temple bar is 20 euros cab drive away. Gets a bit expensive if u go every day which you most likely will as there is nothing close to the hotel. Temple bar is the place to be so book a hotel close to it.

Good Location

It was a very good location located right in between both the city centre and airport. Both were just a short 10-15 minute drive away. I was definitely put off by the staff in the restaurant, though. We arrived fairly late to check in and headed directly down to the restaurant to order some food as it had been a long day and it took them nearly 45 minutes to even notice us. This was after we had attempted to speak with 2 waitresses on 2 occasions. The room was decent, definitely a lot older than I was expecting and the bedding was a little questionable cigarette burns in the comforter, hair in the bed when we arrived, etc. The bathroom was incredibly nice compared to the room, so that was a plus! Overall, it was a fairly good experience. For the price during the St. Patrick's Day weekend, you couldn't beat it! The condition of the room was a little bit disappointing but it's not too bothersome if you don't plan on being there much.

Weekend stay

From begining to end all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful in everyway, from advising buses, organising taxis and serving drinks and meals. Hotel was very warm and our room had been recently refurbished to a very high quality.

Dated but functional

We only stayed here for one night so our experience is limited. We chose it simply for its price, it was the cheapest hotel available for the night at short notice. The room was clean if very dated. The bathroom was very clean which is often unusual in budget older hotels. The hotel was busy during the early evening with various functions being held there. The lounge bar was busy with some live music later that night. We had the breakfast in the morning though it was not included in the price, it was nice & generous if standard hotel buffet. So together with the paid parking and the added breakfast it is not the best value. And due to the distance from the city the price of transport has to be factored in. All these extras add another €48 to the cost per night!

Good Value.

Walls are thin so you can sometimes hear your neighbours. they should have a toast maker to save time waiting.

Good value. Good location

We just stayed here for one night and we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and the great view of the city. There was secure parking too which was 8 euros for 24 hrs. There was a buffet breakfast included in our rate and it was plentiful and fresh. Overall a good hotel. Would stay there again.

Excellent starting point for red-eye flights from Dublin airport

The staff could not have been more helpful. There was no desk in my room and sitting at a little coffee table to work was a little uncomfortable but wifi access was easy and free. Residents have to pay €8 for carparking so maybe a reduction to €5 would be good.

Nice food and bar staff but room was awful!

Stayed here last weekend, got a great deal online. Asked for a room in the new part of the hotel because I'd read that the old part wasn't very nice. The room we got was awful. There was more rust on the radiator than paint, even less paint on the worn out chairs and the walls were covered in marks and doubt they have been painted in years either. Also there were cracks in the tiles in the bathroom. We ate in the bar that evening, food was lovely and service was quick and friendly. The hotel is on a good bus route to the city centre so location was ideal. It's a pity that the room we stayed in was so horrible. If I could be guaranteed a nicer room I would stay here again. Receptionists could be a bit more friendly & let us know meal times etc... I'd hate to see the "old rooms" after the "new one" we got!
