Beautiful hotel , we had a room on the6th floor . Fabulous view. We ate in the hotel bar, very disappointing , fiid was served in about 5 minutes , definitely not freshly cooked , fish was totally dried out. Id say it was sitting in an oven for quite a while

I have stayed at this hotel many times. I love the location and the quality of the building, rooms are large etc. This trip something happened of a serious nature. They lock the parking garage access door to customers at 11pm every night. I came up to the door at 12:30 after being at a dinner and I was locked out. I stood in the deserted parking garage for an extended period of time because no one answered my ringing the bell. If you push it it goes on for 6 or 7 rings...I pushed it 4x with no answer. I was going to walk around up the in ramp, outside and to the door. It was very scary being trapped down in that garage with no access, a woman alone. Obviously safety issues present as they are locking the door. The desk clerk was rude when I asked why it had taken so long. I spoke in the morning to Dimtri (who told me he was the Front Desk Manager) and he was dismissive and rude. He told me there is only one person at the desk at night and he was obviously busy. Well to me the basic issue of safety is the first and primary one in their service to customers. I later received a complimentary breakfast to assuage my annoyance after I had mentioned I do a travel blog. It misses the basic point though. I have often found the desk staff 'under par' at this hotel. Being understaffed is not the customer's fault but one of management. Compared to other Irish hotels, etc where Irish hospitality is the primary focus, the Royal Marine is very sub-par in this regard and should do better.

Close to the Dart.

Really enjoyed our stay. Bar menu could have been a bit more varied but food was nice. Breakfast was fabulous! Hot and tasty.

My favourite Horel

A Class Hotel in a Pictureque Heritage town, deserving of 5 stars. The location to Dublin City is brilliant and you are right in the Centre of Dun Laoghaire beside beautiful St Michaels Church.
