I didn’t stay myself but booked for my sister. She stayed two nights with her husband to attend a wedding nearby and they had a miserable time at birnam hotel. I saw the room myself and facilities which were not good. On booking I explained that she required a gluten free breakfast therefore at the very least I would have expected that there would have been gf toast on offer if nothing else. Really the offer of rice cakes for breakfast, NO!! This is surely no advert for Scottish tourism. Avoid at all costs I’d say. Reviews said “good”, mmmmm

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. I have to say that I was fully aware of the issue with regarding breakfast, however this was fully explained to Mr & Mrs Lunardi on departure to which she did express her disappointment I can assure you that this is not the normal as we always true to accommodate our guests dietry needs. At no point Did did they male any comment or complaint with regard their stay.

The room was freezing cold, the heater would not work, the bed so too hard and the bacons and eggs I asked for at breakfast manifested into a very greasy toasted bacon sandwich. I will not recommend or return, Not good value for money - in my case comfort was lacking. The food was awful. When I mentioned my thoughts, they were swept aside by a member of staff who didn't care and just wanted the money.
