Great central hotel, very clean comfortable rooms. Easy check in. Bar facilities and bar staff could be improved eg more variety in drinks and maybe introduce cocktails as there is lots of competition in union square.
Great location. Terrible breakfast and tiny room dirty tables and uncleared plates along with a phone that didn’t stop ringing for 15 minutes
Close to bars, shops and restaurants. Car psrking next to it was £12 for 24 hours. Would highly recommend for a short stay in Aberdeen.
First time I have stayed at this hotel & it won't be the last. The room was really nice with a lovely large shower. The breakfast was cooked to order & was a nice change from eggs etc lying for ages. The staff were all really nice. The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Aberdeen, ...
A 44-acre green space along the banks of the River Dee, Duthie Park is the pride of the residents of Aberdeen, Scotland. In 1881, Lady Elizabeth Duthie donated the land on which to build the park and all of its features planned and constructed by the legendary David Welch. Thanks to advanced planning and proper tending throughout the decades, this park is now the second largest collection of giant cacti and bromeliads in the United Kingdom.
Both inside and outside gardens make up the greenhouse collection found in Duthie Park, such as the Temperate House in the Winter Garden and the Japanese Garden that commemorates the losses of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. In addition to cacti, other displays that welcome tens of thousands of visitors per year include banana trees, Spanish moss, and a plethora of tree ferns. To encourage more foot traffic and boost the appeal of this park, other commonly availed activities include paddle boating and kayaking in the central pond as well as lounging and picnicking on the main lawn.
