Thoroughly decent old hotel in excellent location.

Very pleasant old hotel. Staff try hard. Room comfortable and quiet. Choice of food a little limited esp on vegy side and perhaps a lttle expensive. Breakfast excellent. A good choice of hotel overall. Would go again.

Nice hotel overlooking the sea

Pros: The staff were very friendly and smart and the breakfast was very good with a wide variety of cold and hot food.
Cons: The dated look of the hotel was not to my taste and the rooms were small and hot.
Location: The hotel is up a steep hill so if you have any mobility issues you would need to use your car to get tot the beach, pier and town centre.
Staff were lovely, very professional and helpful. The hotel décor is very old fashioned but comfortable in the communal areas but we had a single room and a double room which were dark and the double room was rather small. The bathroom in the single room was fresh, clean and large but the shower room in the double room was very small. Apparently the hotel has recently been refurbished but there is no air con in the bedrooms which made them rather uncomfortable during the lovely July hot weather. We were given a fan and lighter bed linen on request. We eat once in the main restaurant for an evening meal which although looked great it did lack flavour. and wasn't very hot. However, breakfast was wonderful with the best bacon I have ever had. There is no evening entertainment so the hotel is very quiet in the evenings.

Huone oli pieni eikä mitään jäähdytystä. Pyynnöstä saimme tuulettimen. Aamiaisella palvelu oli ontuvaa. Välillä kysyttiin heti haluammeko teetä vai kahvia ja mitä mahdollisesti haluamme "hot menusta". Välillä saimme odotella pitkään ennen tuota kysymystä pöytään ohjaamisen jälkeen. Henkilökuntaa oli paljon, mutta aikaa oli seisoskella ja katsella, mutta 3 päivää viidestä palvelu oli todella hidasta.
