Perfect location for our short break

My trip to Edinburgh was a birthday present and I was pleasantly surprised how nice the hotel was given that we booked it on a deal. Also, upon arrival we were upgraded to a city plus room at no extra cost which was a lovely bonus. The location is great for seeing all the city's attractions, no more than a fifteen minute walk to the furthest and most were much closer yet it's not right in the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area. Couldn't complain about any aspect of the hotel our our stay there.

Excellent Stay

Pros: This hotel was central to everything, bars, restuarants and obviously the castle
Cons: The only thing I noticed was how dull the reception area was.
Location: The location of this hotel could not be better for bars, restuarants and castle, its about a 20 minute walk to Princess Street.
On arrival we enquired about car parking facilities and were kindly told to try sister hotel which was close and adequate. Our room was clean and spacious with a walk in shower and bath. We also had a view of castle which was nice, the upgrade for extras was nice, fridge, toiletries, bathrobesand coffee machine was worth it. The bed was very comforatble and pillows were good, which is not normally the case in hotels but these were great. The late departure time was good and gave you plenty time to organise.

The hotel was excellent in every way. The rooms were lovely and very spacious. The food and drink was very reasonable. The location was great. In walking distance of everything. I would definitely stay there again.

Weekend break

Great location, close to lots of bars and restaurants. We were on the 4th floor with a castle view. Was really quiet and brilliant views. We paid a bit more for our room and had plenty of tea coffee and hot chocolate as well as shortbread to keep us refreshed. Breakfast wasn't included which would have been nice but lots of places near by. Amazing weekend and the hotel was a great base. Would definitely stay again.
