Very central

Pros: Nice modern feel to hotel
Cons: Would like to have been advised about the very noisy building works outside our room , if we had been staying longer would have asked to be moved.
Location: Very central and convenient if arriving by train. Easy access to both old and new towns.
Arrived early but able to check in straightaway. Slightly disappointed with size of room.

It’s was OK.

We checked in at around 20:30. Check in was really easy and we ended up being in the room for all of 30 mins before heading out however when we arrived we were woke up with the neighbours having music on and didn’t get the best sleep however been woken up twice we just covered our heads and slept. We called up and asked if we could have a late check out but to no avail. The shower cubicle has seen better days I think, modly to be fair I get this was a last minute booking but just think it could’ve been made a little better. We were going to get breakfast added in the morning but we decided to just leave, upon check out we were asked about our stay but was embarrassed to mention anything to be honest however Edinburgh was lovely.

Very central, nice clean hotel overall would recom

For extra guest on sofa they could provide better pillows. The mini bar was well stocked and on the house which was a nice touch The restaurant staff were lovely but were inexperienced in my view as we had to ask and re ask for items of our dinner as only half came out then another couple of minutes for the veg. Food was nice when received. Just only stayed in on one night of our stay to eat. Would recommend the hotel for there nice staff location and overall ambiance of the Hotel

Great location, lovely hotel, friendly staff.

Pros: Location, room size, friendly staff, they have a spa too.
Cons: Cant think of anythign, all was perfect for us.
Location: The Hotel is a stone's throw from The Balmoral, and minutes from Princess Street and George Street. So you are right in the thick of things.
Stayed here Saturday 15th/16th October, 3 ladies sharing a triple room. Room was lovely and spacious, very quiet, lovely decor, big bathroom with complementary "Elemis" products was a nice touch! Literally a 5 minute walk from Waverley Station. Would def stay again - actually I am !! In December!!!

Tired dirty room

Not up to standard of other 4&5 star hotels. Tired looking room dusty and dirty hand marks and spills on counters and doors. Shower head too small and pressure high when hot it would fall of stand. No safety catch on Windows therefore Windows don't open at all. Pillow depth ridiculous for a good sleep. Best part of stay was checking out! This should have been a superior room ... Very poor apex !

Great stay

Fabulous hotel in a great location 5minutes from Waverley station. Room was lovely everything you needed and top range toiletries were a treat. All the staff were very good and helpful. Fresh cooked breakfast which we paid for when we booked in as it was cheaper. Walking distance to all of the sights and loads of restaurants nearby. Would definately return if we get another good deal.

Noisy building

The room was out of the way (access was via what appeared to be a service staircase). Because of the room's subterranean location it was overlooked by many nearby windows and the curtains had to be kept closed. A lot of disturbing noise came from the hotel, I think it was the air-conditioning system.
