Beautiful setting

Relaxed hotel in lovely setting. Staff are helpful and friendly. Food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked.

Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm und freundlich. Die Umgebung und das Ambiente ist wunderbar. Wir haben gut geschlafen und uns erholt im schottischen Garten der Natur.

Hotel like in Downtown Abbey

Pros: The old spirit of luxury and the comfort
Cons: nothing
Location: The hotel is in a park and the park is very beautiful with a well-groomed garden. Very beautiful
We really love this hotel and we enjoyed the Suite. This hotel is really a insider tip. We will come back and will spend next year again a week holiday there.

Romantic pure! Will be staying again!!

Pros: What's not to like? Loved it !!!
Cons: Bed was unfortunately hard and on the small side.
Location: Large grounds to walk away any business or travel tensions, and to build up an appetite for the fine meals.
We booked an executive room and were very pleased to hear we had been given an upgrade to a large & gorgeous suite...brilliant!!! Staff very professional & friendly - atmosphere fantastic! - loved the huge wonderfully decorated rooms for guest use (library, music room, etc) Food excellent! The building was built in 1480 and has a lift !!...can't get much better than that :) I would most definitely go out of my way to stay here again when in Edinburgh.
