Great hotel, shame about the food

Lovely large room and very modern. Bathroom is a bit dated but can't have it always As for the food in the restaurant, the chefs let the hotel down and the staff on front of house I chose risotto it was hard and cold. But staff couldn't apologise enough, fortunately there is a sainsburys 5 mins drive away life saver ha

Great hotel and awesome staff

Hotel is a very good value for money and really exceeded expectations to what we paid for. Very quiet at night, we left our car in the free carpark and used the bus which is few minutes walk nearby. Staff was lovely and helpful. Breakfast was alright, maybe not many choices for other people but was enough for me.

A perfect one nights stay

Efficient and friendly check in. The room was spotlessly clean and a pretty good size. Flat screen TV and good hanging and drawer space. The bathroom had a great powerful shower, white fluffy towels and quality toiletries. Breakfast was completely self service which I don't really like but the breakfast items were all plentiful and hot. I would definitely stay again.

Great Hotel

The main thing I always want in a hotel is cleanliness and this hotel certainly had it. Super clean room and cleaned every day with fresh towels. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location is a bit out from the city centre but we knew this when booking it. It meant the hotel was cheaper than the others closer to the city. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel with buses running into the centre regularly. Food was also great here too. Really enjoyed my stay here.

Comfortable clean hotel

Three nights stay, ate at hotel every night, all very pleasant except for last night. Must have been a different chef as food bad and what were sold as premium sausages with haggis were definitely not. They were not to temperature and when the young barman was asked his reply was simply not sure.

Decent hotel, good value

Decent hotel, good value. Had booked a room for myself and decided to take partner and kid and when I phoned up hotel to change room it was no problem at all. Staff friendly, leisure club nice. Would stay again.

A gem outside the city!

We arrived very early before check in and went and had a coffee in the breakfast area, then within a couple of hours we were told we could check in early. Which after a long trek up we needed our bed! The bed was enormous. Two singles attached well together. Very comfy as well. Great size rooms, big bathroom and it was all in great condition and very clean. Breakfast was discounted to £10 each but had plenty of choice. My partner being a vegetarian still had plenty to choose from as well. Cooked and continental. The staff were all fantastic and couldn't do enough to help. They were chatty and friendly and so polite. The pool, sauna and steam room are lovely. Shame there isn't a jacuzzi/ spa. We didn't use the gym but looked good. Yes it is a fair way from the city. Took about 15-20 minutes on the bus. But there is a huge car park if you have a car. Plus I think its free. All in all a lovely place, great staff and we can't wait to return soon. Thank you everyone!

Great Location

It was a great location, away from the city centre but with great bus links it was great for me. The staff were very helpful which was good. The only downside was the cleaning staff, I wanted to keep my towels but they changed them everyday which was very annoying. Also there was no soap in the room.
