Worth the money.

Location: 10 minute walk to The Royal Mile then onto the Castle or Princess Street for the arts.
This is not a fancy hotel. However, the rooms are clean, there are good facilities and every member of staff are superb. Very friendly, polite, smartly dressed and very professional. Centrally located a mere ten minute walk from Waverley Station but take a taxi... The journey is all uphill. Great going into town. I would stay again. An excellent budget hotel.

Fantastic weekend, staff were awesome

Spent a weekend, the room although small was very comfortable. Space was just what we needed. The staff in the dining hall were very welcoming and helpful. Fully recommend this hotel to friends and family. Close enough to walk to the Christmas market and the restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Fringe visit

Kenneth McKenzie rooms are clean, comfortable and basic! There are four floors & no lift so people with mobility problems would find it difficult. The location is great for the Fringe for the comedy Pleasance area, Aedinburgh Castle and The Royal Mile, a little further to Prince Street etc ( about 15 minute walk. The staff in the Richmond apartments reception area & in the breakfast room ( the breakfast of which was very good) were exceptionally friendly and courteous, overall a good stay.

handy for Edinburgh centre

Rather like a student hostel but the rooms were clean and functional for an overnight stay and the breakfast plus welcoming helpful staff made up for any shortfalls!!

Wonderful Staff !!!

Had a lovely stay here and the staff could not have been more helpful, and a big thanks to Bill on reception for all his help with the parking. The room was very nice and breakfast was lovely with such a wonderful choice. When back in Edinburgh will def be back !!

Perfect stay for a few nights

The room was clean and had all the basics you need to stay a night. I was delighted to find out that it had a WiFi as well. I really liked that I arrived late and I was still well welcomed. The staff in general was very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast with fresh strawberries and fruits provided though no baked beans with cooked breakfast... I appreciated the possibility to leave my luggage in a locked luggage room on my day of departure. Very good value for the price you pay!

Excellent value and location

Only stayed one night for Edinburgh Marathon, but would have been happy to stay longer. Good student accomodation ideally situated very close to Royal Mile and helpful, friendly staff with good breakfast options.
