Lovely hotel, great location

Pros: Staff, quality of room
Cons: Nothing obvious
Location: Didn't stay long enough to explore but in the middle of Edinburgh old town, 5 mins walk to Waverley station, 10 min walk to catch a tram to airport
Stayed for one night in advance of a meeting in the hotel the following day. Check in and out were without fault, room was spacious and very comfortable, food was excellent. Would be a great centre to explore Edinburgh.

Centrally Located Hotel

The staff at reception were exceptionally especially Niamh who checked us in and upgraded our room to a superior room. The room was clean but abit chilly . The spa and pool were exceptional. The restaurant/bar staff and food were disappointing in fact I would go as far as saying they let down the whole experience. Our food was cold when served after 45 minutes waiting for it. Jay the hotel manager ensured same was not charged to the room. I would recommend the hotel , location , spa and pool but not the food in the bar however the breakfast and breakfast staff were of a high standard.

Location great but actual stay very disappointing

Pros: Location of this hotel was great, nice spa & breakfast
Cons: Cooperation of staff & a warm room
Location: Lots to do nearby coach trips from across the road lots of restaurants, castle etc
On arrival Asked if we wanted to pay £25 more per night to upgrade to business class room for view of the sea, very disappointed with the room for the price definitely needed a lick of paint & bathroom needed some attention shower door kept opening to allow water onto the floor & the mastic wasn't great around the bath some mould. Room was very cold we did go to reception to report this & they sent an engineer to check & said working ok but to leave the key card in when you go out to ensure it stayed warm. Next day when we returned to the room the card was lifted out & the room was cold thought this was an accident by cleaner went to spa to warm up, but next day after we had been out since 7am & didn't return until 8pm card was had been lifted out & room was freezing had to have a shower & get changed in a cold room not what we were expecting in this hotel. We reported to reception on our way out & the man behind the desk wasn't interested didn't even ask for our room number we were very disappointed & won't be staying in a Radison Blu again you get better service in a budget premier inn. On checking out we were asked if everything was ok with our stay we told the Manager of our problems as above & was offered £25 compensation which we thought was an insult for a £200 a night room

Nice hotel for discovering the beauty of Edinburgh

I spent 3 days in Edinburgh. The hotel is located just minutes walk away from key attractions of Edinburgh and also the bus & train terminals. The room is very comfortable. Hotel staff service is very friendly. I enjoy the stay quite much!
