We had such a fab stay! The rooms were beautiful (pictures online really don’t do it justice!) and had really wonderful extra touches, such as Nespresso coffee machine, GHD straighteners and bath robes. Staff were really friendly and the bar downstairs was so cosy! Great Hotel!

5 Days in The Raeburn in May

Pros: The food in the restaurant was excellent. The staff were welcoming. The location was lovely (close to shops and also the local park).
Cons: On checking in, the room had a layer of dust along the desk - possibly as the window was left open? This wasn't great for someone with asthma.
Location: The hotel is in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh, it has a few independent coffee shops, supermarkets etc in its main street.
Our 5 days staying in the Raeburn gave us a good chance to experience the local area, and all that the hotel has to offer. The Raeburn is a lovely hotel/pub in a lively and growing Stockbridge area of Edinburgh. It is rustic and elegant, and offers a variety of hotel services - food in the restaurant was great. Unfortunately the main issue I experienced was the daily construction work adjacent to the hotel. The development of Raeburn Place is occurring right next to the hotel, which resulted in drilling and heavy machinery operating as early as 8:30am right outside our window. At one point, a crane rolled past our bedroom window! The construction work (I later discovered) has only recently started, and looks to be happening for a number of months, if not all of 2017 - so I would suggest anyone considering a stay bear that in mind, or contact the hotel to find out the latest. The hotel is about a 20-30 minute walk away from Princes Street (Old Town) where Edinburgh castle is. The walk is quite steep at times. The local Stockbridge area has some great coffee shops, and some supermarkets (Sainsbury's local, Waitrose) Parking wise - the hotel offers free parking, but only has space for 4 cars. There is local road parking, but at £2 per hour (8-5pm If i recall) its not cheap during the day - also there were huge signs on the walls saying it was a car crime area - not encouraging! I would stay again, but only when the local development is complete!

Hübsches Hotel mit noch schöneren Zimmern

Kann das Hotel jedem empfehlen, der gerne bisschen ausserhalb, und trotzdem in ca. 8 minuten in der stadt ist.
