Unique location at the junction of the Manchester Ship Carnal and the Shropshire Union Canal. There is a slight down side however. Outside, you may get a wiff of the refinery, which is about a mile upstream, if the wind is in the wrong direction. Didnt notice it inside the hotel though.

Nicely furnished hotel in an attractive setting on the harbour. But above all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

I had a room for a disabled person. I’m not sure if I hit the select button and chose this by mistake or if it allocated to me as they were just busy. However, the room was very noisy. It was like I was right under the heating system or air conditioning units. I’m glad I had my earplugs with me.
